Although the Hohenschwangau area is often foggy, it is always beautiful! This is the view of Hohenschwangau from the climb up to it's castle namesake. What a view. The town looks so quaint from the castle. I wouldn't mind spending a lot more time in the little village. I bet it is a treat to visit here during Christmas time.

This was the scenery leaving the airport in Munich in our rental car. At first I was kind of disappointed, it looked just like Wisconsin!Sombering photo of Dachau Concentration Camp. Although not fun, it is a very educational experience and a must for Bavarian visitors. The Memorial at Dachau is very sombering and moving. It is important to remember what happened here, and teach younger generations so that events like what happened here, never happen again.

Another view of the town from the walk to the castle. This village is definately like a fairy tale!Hohenschwangau Castle is the first home of King Ludwig ll of Bavaria. This castle is where he spent his childhood. This castle is so beautiful inside and out. It really is a great example of Bavarian royalty and how they lived.
